The Stillorgan Chamber of Commerce presents: William Orpen Weekend at The Talbot Hotel Stillorgan.

Two day event – Saturday 15th Sept 2018 and Sunday 16th Sept.

Saturday 15th September

5.30pm – Unveiling of The William Orpen Sculpture by Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones.

7.30pm – WW1 Concert with various artists performing songs and poetry from the 1900’s/WW1 era (see list below).  Tickets for the concert available from Karen D’Alton 00353 1 2957708 (office hours). €25 includes finger food, tea/coffee and concert.

Sunday 16th September

12noon to 6pm – Exhibition of works by William Orpen.

2pm – A one hour AV/Talk ‘The Life & Times of William Orpen’.

Damien Top – Tenor from Cassel in France. Damien will sing in French & German.

 Phelim Drew Actor and Singer (son of Ronnie Drew) will recite poetry by Francis Ledwidge who was an Irish Poet killed at the third battle of Ypres on the 31 July 1917.

Zena Donnelly – Singer (age 15). Zena performed in the 2016 Junior Eurovision with her own song Bríce Ar Bhríce (Brick by Brick).
